Is the Obesity Epidemic Leveling Off? Don’t be too Sure.
Recently, CDC epidemiologists published an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association to the effect that there was not a significant change over the past 12 years in the nation’s obesity rate of 35.5% for adult men and 35.8% for adult women.

Obesity GPS Launch
December 9th, 2008
The STOP Obesity Alliance Health & Wellness Chairperson, 17th U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard H. Carmona, facilitated a panel discussion featuring the Alliance’s Director, Christine Ferguson, the American Medical Group Association’s Julie Sanderson-Austin, and the American Heart Association’s Dr. John Ring. The distinguished panel focused on the release of the Obesity GPS – Guide for Policy and Program Solutions, the navigation tool developed to guide public and private decision makers as they determine the most successful routes towards reducing the overweight and obesity epidemic.
